Highland Fling
- Gown with detachable train.
The gown's strapless top is shaped like a weskit vest, done in emerald green
satin, decorated with applied wings of the plaid cotton over which is
a
center panel of red satin, beaded with black and gold in a fleur-de-lis motif that repeats in the bead work of the
detachable train. The emerald
satin is cut like a vest bottom and has faux black lacing. The gown bodice is lined with white satin and the skirt is unlined. The highly pegged
skirt
of the long gown is made of plaid cotton, woven with metallic threads, cut on the bias and stitch-tucked into the center back seam. The folds are left
loose all around to form the soft folds of the skirt front, and the hem tapers up to a
curved opening at the lower center back to allow walking ease.
Snap back closure.
- Detachable train of plaid cotton, cut like a man's tie on the bias and faced with red satin.
(attaches to the back waist of the bodice with hooks and eyes.) the top part of the train has an attacked pouf and the
bottom is beaded on the red satin with black and gold in a larger scale fleur-de-lis.
- nude pantyhose
- emerald green opera length gloves, cut to form wings at the top edge.
