Singapore umbrella is the same size/curved handle as the
umbrellas above.
The other National Flag umbrellas are approximately
9" diameter when opened, 6 3/4" long when closed and have a "finger grip"
handle.

HOW TO MAKE THE UMBRELLA INTO A LONG HANDLED PARASOL

Cut off the handle with an Exacto Saw Blade (available in the Exacto section of most hobby/craft stores)
Use a piece of metal tubing (from a hobby store or possibly an old antenna) and glue it to the end of the handle
Wind and glue 4mm silk ribbon over the chrome. The ribbon may become transparant from the glue, so you may need to paint it.
Make a loop for her hand using the piece for buckling the umbrella closed, poking it inside the metal tubing.
Glue a large bead or a stud earring onto the end.
